A time of tension for the British mining company Vedanta, accused of alleged pollution in Zambia. The accusation comes from the Zambian communities that live near the huge Nchanga copper mine, owned by Konkola Copper Mines (KCM), a subsidiary of Vedanta. After years of protests and claims, villagers have recently obtained the right to sue the mining giant in the English courts, due to the problem of access to justice in the African country.
