Publicis makes record investment in Epsilon, challenging Facebook and Google. Alphie sees growth in advertising sector

Publicis, the third largest advertising group in the world in terms of turnover, has acquired Epsilon, the American digital marketing agency owned by Alliance Data Systems, for 4.4bn USD. This is the largest acquisition that the French group has been involved in. Its aim is to expand its presence in the United States and to accelerate the drive into digital marketing, thanks to the access to a wider range of consumer data.
